After kicking off our spring break with a trip to Texas to experience the solar eclipse, I decided to spend the second half of the week in New Orleans — yes, with the kids.

If I had to pick a red state, New Orleans would be it. The vibrant culture, warm people, and incredible food make it one of America’s most singular cities. I had four restaurant reservations and a packed three-day agenda.

An approaching storm temporarily shut the city down, but we got it all in. New Orleans never disappoints.
